Citu is an industry-leading, UK-based place maker, with a purpose to tackle the biggest challenge of our generation – The Climate Crisis. Their objective is to create beautiful places, with high-performance buildings, where people can lead a happy low carbon life.

CITU are a purposeful and responsible team of over 120 passionate and driven professionals wanting to play a leading part in positive, impactful change across our places and cities. They are completely committed to the work they are doing but their long-term intention is to create a national, then global ripple effect, which others simply can’t ignore.
CITU’s journey began with a vision to create places, homes and buildings that prioritise both aspirational design, people and carbon reduction. They believe in sustainable progress, and each place they create reflects this. They focus on the spaces next to and between buildings in equal measure to the buildings themselves and provide contemporary, zero-carbon homes in the heart of cities, designed with sustainability and community at their core.
CITU create shared communal spaces that have been designed to encourage social interaction between neighbours. On-site landscaping teams are critical in delivering the vision, they encourage biodiversity through planting flowers, trees that are native to the area and edibles such as herbs.
By building public parks, gardens and pedestrian bridges, CITU have created community spaces where people can relax, play and get to know one another. Maximising on sustainable living practices, cars are removed from the landscape, free on-site bike storage is plentiful, while solar panels feed electric car charging stations and the electric car club, making the switch to zero-carbon transport easy.
Timber frames for CITU homes are manufactured on-site to minimize environmental impact, They are dedication to local, eco-conscious practices and commitment to controlling every part of the supply chain whilst the building material is recyclable, biodegradable and renewable.
