Kings Biofuels is a company incorporated in Kenya with the sole purpose of making fire briquettes as an alternative and substitute source of energy to enhance climate change mitigations as advocated by the Kenyan government and various foreign agencies.

Our mission is to produce and promote use of low-cost high quality calorific value briquetted charcoal made from bio-waste products that is environmental friendly and clean for use by both domestic and commercial industries.

Biofuel Briquettes

Biomass briquettes can be used as substitute or alternative to fossil fuels and wood. They are made from agricultural and forestry wastes. The wastes are converted into high density & energy-concentrated biomass briquettes using binderless biomass briquetting machine, without use of any chemical. This makes Biomass Briquettes 100% natural.

Briquettes have high specific density (1200Kg/m3) and buik density (800 Kg/m3) compared to 60-180 Kg/m3 of loose biomass. Compared to firewood or loose biomass, briquettes give much higher boiler efficiency because of low moisture and higher density.

It is for their efficiency in heat production that they are preferred in industry boilers and other facilities.

Benefits of Biomass Briquettes

  • Nature produces millions of tonnes of bio-degradable waste materials which can be briquetted. Such waste materials include saw dust, coffee husks, rice husks, bagassee, tobacco dust and hay. Basically, any type of agricultural or forestry waste can be briquetted.

  • Environmental Friendly

    Briquettes are immeasurably cleaner than other fuel alternatives – especially coal because they do not contain any Sulphur. Most industries do not have proper waste disposal mechanisms so the wastes are loosely burnt in the open hence polluting the the environment. Such wastes can be briquetted.

  • Higher Calorific Value

    Briquettes have a higher thermal calorific value (4000 Kcal/Kg) and lower ash content. Compared to firewood or loose biomass, briquettes give much higher calorific value because of low moisture and high density.

  • Quality & Clean Fuel

    Biomass Briquettes have consistent quality, they are very clean to handle and always burn evenly.
